Building research capacity at Minority-Serving Institutions requires more than one-time technical assistance. It requires sustained leadership development, practical strategy, expert guidance, and a strong network of peers facing similar institutional challenges.

InnovaMSI REAL Cohorts is a year-long professional development initiative designed to support MSI research leaders and administrators as they strengthen institutional capacity for externally funded research in criminal justice. Through expert-led learning, peer exchange, and ongoing consultation, the program helps participants build the knowledge, strategies, and connections needed to advance research infrastructure, funding readiness, and long-term institutional growth.
